OH RATS!

1) Rats travel by boat. They board the ship and hide in the lowest level of the boat. They have plenty of food (Passenger's food, animal's food, etc.) when the ship would dock, they would swim ashore. The Rattus rattus (the black rat) and the Rattus norvegicus first began to travel a very long time ago, about 3,000 estimated years ago, when the first boats were leaving their home countries.

2) I do not know if rat would would actually be a yummy treat, but some of the countries that eat rats include(d) Rome, America, China, Mexico, and France. They would make a dish like "Grilled Rat Bordeaux Style."

3) Plauge, the worst disease carried by rats is what the childrens song is about. It is a disease that kills you most of the time if you have it.

4) I think that rats are gross, but with out them, we would not have certain medicines and we would be able to cure thing like cancer.

This is a pretty good book and it has a lot of interesting facts.

1) Rattus rattus first began to travel from China about 3,000 years ago. Rattus norvegicus also began traveling around 3,000 yrs. ago. They traveled by boat. They would board a ship and live in the bottom levels of the ships they were traveling on.

2) Some of the countries where they eat rats are Russia, China, and Africa.

3)The children's song "Ring Around the Rosy" relates to rats because of the disease that rats gave humans.

4) Reading this book has changed my attitude towards rats because I now understand that rats don't mean to be such a pain in the neck to people, it's what they have to do to survive.

1) Rattus Rattus began traveling about 3,000 years ago. Rattus norvegicus began its travels around the 1700s and it travleed to Scandonavia. Rats traveled mainly by boat.

2) The countries that eat rats for dishes are China, Mexico, France, Africa, and Ghana.

3) The song relates to rats because the song is from 1348 to 1352 which is known as the Black Death. Ring around the rosy relates to a round red rash that developed on your skin. Pocket full of posies relates to how people filled their pockets with posies to ward of the smell. And Ashes Ashes were the sneezing fits they had before they fell down (died).

4) It did not change my attitude because for some reason I hate mice and rats.
