1) Alabama Moon and his dad lived in the forest because his dad thought the government was after him and his family. One year after his mother gave birth to him they ran away to the forest, where they built an under ground hidden home.

2) Moon's dad's foot was caught in between some logs and was broken along with most of his leg and ankle. He doesn't agree with doctors so he had his son, Moon, take care of him and do double the chores.

3) Originally, he was following his father's advice. His plans were messed up though, when the government started chasing after him. Once he was caught, he was sent to Pinson. There, he meet Kit and Dan. They planned to break out and run to the forest. They did and took a bus full of kids with them. Dan left the forest and went to his dad's house. It was just the two of them and Kit started getting sick from not being able to take his medicine. Moon dragged Kit all the way from the camp site to the road, where a car picked him up. Later, after the news crews had left, Dan had come in his dad's car and picked Moon up, where he lived for a while. He wanted to visit Kit, and he was caught in the hospital. After along time of going to jail and court, and to the hospital, where he found out that Kit had died, he finally found out that he had a family and met them. He was allowed to stay with them and lived happily ever after.

This book was so good. At the end, when Kit died I started crying because it was so unexpected. Then, he found his family! I was so happy for him! :)

1) Alabama Moon and his dad lived in the forest because his dad believed the government wanted to harm him and his family.

2) Alabama Moon's dad has an accident
where he slips in a ditch causing him to break his leg and he soon dies.

3) Alabama Moon Finds his own path for life and it is different from the life he had with his father because he didn't live off the forest anymore, he lived as an average American, and used modern technologies.
